The Health Care Delivery business is responsible for increasing CVS Health’s capacity to rapidly improve health outcomes while managing medical costs and creating a simplified and more cost-effective experience for our customers. This organization will leverage the strength of the CVS Health portfolio to develop and implement payor-agnostic products and services that accelerate growth across the enterprise and enable CVS Health to deliver higher quality health and wellness care for our members and consumers. This is an opportunity to be part of innovating CVSH’s portfolio of assets to operate in a unique way to deliver a differentiated value proposition In partnership with the President of Health Care Delivery, Dr. Amar Desai, the Senior Vice President, , CFO, Health Care Delivery, leads all aspects of financial strategy for CVS Health’s Health Care Delivery (“HCD”) business segment, including our emerging health care assets. This executive is accountable for defining, articulating, and quantifying the financial priorities of the HCD business to that promote scale the organization and reach our long-term strategic goals. With over $2.8 million in revenues and 7,000 employees, including 4,300 clinicians, the current Health Care Delivery organization includes more mature offerings such as over 1,100 MinuteClinic locations that are providing care in over 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, as well as nascent programs in virtual care and retail health care delivery. Expected growth in this business is aggressive, projected to rival our existing three lines of business by 2030. This role will report to the CVS Health EVP, Chief Financial Officer, will be a part of the Finance leadership team, and lead a team in providing comprehensive financial leadership to the HCD business. The role has a matrix relationship to the EVP, President of the HCD business segment and is a key partner to that leadership team. Experienced, credible and with strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and influencing skills, this leader will be responsible for establishing and continuing to build strong internal and external relationships with a wide variety of key stakeholders and constituents, including members of the Executive Leadership Team as well as other senior executive leaders. The successful candidate will drive business growth and enterprise transformation through effective collaboration, prioritization, talent management and focus on delivering outcomes. Key Responsibilities: • Define the financial strategy and provide industry-leading financial insights to deliver the best decisions on executing our business priorities • Develop and direct financial plans to deliver the strategic business plan, company growth and market opportunities and direction • Evaluate proformas and analyses for new business opportunities, including the addition of new services or partnerships • Partner with the actuarial team to develop pricing mechanisms for new products, coverages, and rating plans including pricing for provider risk • Translate financial results and metrics into clear, concise, actionable narratives that influence strategic planning, business decision-making and action • Create and/or oversee all financial and operational controls and metrics within the HCD organization • Develop and engage with significant and complex financial analysis that led to improved productivity and or substantial cost savings • Acquire talent, mentor team members and build/maintain a high-performance culture • Set the standard for integrity, accountability, and achieving results • Collaborate with constituent areas including Actuarial, Underwriting, Network and Medical Economics to execute on growth priorities • Analyze current and future business operations and plans to determine financial effectiveness Required Qualifications The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company’s business, as well as significant interaction with senior business leaders. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes: • 15+ years related financial management experience including strategic and business planning, financial analysis, and operations in a healthcare or related business • Deep understanding of full spectrum of reimbursement models (Fee-For-Service, Value-Based-Care Partial- and Full-Risk, and Capitation). • 10+ years’ experience providing financial insights and planning for M&A activity • Strategic thinker with the passion and ability tto break through traditional practices and courageously charter the future of healthcare delivery. • Extensive experience in healthcare, managed care insurance or financial services • Understanding of health care benefits; experience with government programs a plus • Strong business and financial acumen, ability to create compelling business cases and achieve committed financial results • Demonstrated capability in leading an organization through significant change with proven ability to calmly manage risk/complexities with the ability to drive a matrixed organization towards an aligned vision. • Ability to lead a large and complex finance and financial operations organization focusing on outcomes, employee engagement and talent development • Financial management experience including strategic and business planning, accounting, and financial analysis • Proven experience developing and executing financial strategies in a large matrixed organization • Experience supporting a P&L with multiple business functions • Strong mission, passion, and commitment to transform healthcare; leads with a values orientation. • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication as well as presentation skills tailored to the appropriate audience • Transparent and accessible leadership style with strong influencing skills and capability to earn credibility with internal and external stakeholders COVID Requirements COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement CVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
