OverviewLynker Corporation, in collaboration with FISH as the FLOAT JV, is seeking two Fish Biologists to support NOAA’s Interior Columbia Basin Division with Endangered Species Act (ESA) and habitat restoration consultation efforts. Employment in this role is contingent upon FLOAT being awarded the contract by NOAA. ResponsibilitiesDraft ESA Section 7 Biological Opinions and Letters of Concurrence. Review and comment on Biological Assessments submitted by federal agencies. Enroll applicants into programmatic consultations and document determinations. Evaluate and review aquatic habitat restoration proposals. Support implementation of ESA recovery plans and FCRPS habitat program. Collaborate with federal partners, tribes, and grant programs. QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's (with 4 years) or Master’s (with 2 years) in aquatic biology or related field. Expertise in salmonid life history and habitat needs. Excellent technical writing and analysis skills. Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat. Valid driver’s license. Preferred:Familiarity with Columbia Basin salmonids and ESA Section 7 processes. Knowledge of fish passage, habitat restoration, and conservation planning.
