Job Highlights Start Date: Immediate openings available, offering the chance to make an immediate impact Compensation: A competitive salary of $28-$30/hour, reflecting the company's commitment to rewarding its employees Location: Remote, providing the flexibility to work from anywhere and maintain a healthy work-life balance Position: Senior Financial Accounting Analyst, offering a challenging and rewarding role with opportunities for growth and development Company: Disney, a global entertainment leader with a rich history and a commitment to excellence Key Responsibilities As a Senior Financial Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including: Aiding in the maintenance of general ledgers and the month-end close cycle connected with corporate accounting, including the preparation and review of journal entries for intercompany disposals, intercompany allocations, and related party transactions Preparing and reviewing reconciliations for key accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis and performing variance analyses Monitoring intercompany accounts, addressing any out-of-balance issues, and working with intercompany payments Tracking related party transactions throughout the fiscal year and performing valuation analyses to determine whether related party transactions are at arm's length Collaborating with the Financial Planning, Legal, and other groups within Controllership to obtain necessary supporting documentation Working directly with the Manager, Financial Accounting - Corporate on ad-hoc management initiatives Aiding in the preparation of Hulu's financial statements through the preparation of financial schedules and footnotes Researching technical accounting issues and preparing accounting memos to document changes in accounting treatment Assisting in the management of internal and external audits by working with requests and preparing status meetings Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 3 years of accounting experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial accounting principles and practices Solid knowledge of US GAAP, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations High-level working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, facilitating effective communication and collaboration Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high degree of motivation, enabling you to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, fostering a culture of transparency and open communication A team-oriented perspective with a positive attitude, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: A combination of public and private work experience, providing a unique perspective and understanding of different accounting environments Experience in SAP, enhancing your ability to navigate and utilize complex accounting systems Entertainment or technology industry experience, offering a deeper understanding of the company's operations and challenges CPA license, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and excellence in accounting Required Education A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, providing a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices.
